PSTN not being answered. was created by gtpc_ltd
Hi we have an issue with one of our IPPBX 2820 installations.
FW 3.5.7.
The PSTN line is configured, takes the call, passes it to an extension, but doesn’t acknowledge that is has been answered. The incoming call continues to ring, there is nothing on the handset. The config is the same as other installations we have which work fine.
Any idea’s?
Simon.

I managed to resolve this yesterday. The RJ45 to BT cable that I was using had 4 wires in it. I changed this for the one that came with the IPPBX which has 2 wires in it and it works now. The call can be picked up and I can dial out via the PSTN Trunk. I do however have a problem with the PSTN line being released. The PSTN line is not released until the remote party hang up if it is done at the local end the PSTN line stays in use and nobody can call in on the line.

I think that's how it would work with two telephones on two PSTN lines - regardless of having the IPPBX attached. Regards, Neal
