Folks,

We have been using Draytel for our calls and
1. we often cannot get an outgoing line
2. the call quality can be so poor that there is no point being on the phone

The ADSL connection is QoS protected on the modem router.
We do not think it is the ADSL provider.

Can anyone recommend a rock solid VoIP provider with a big bank of outgoing lines and plenty protected bandwidth for call quality. ... and of course at a good price.

Thanks

K ez

Why don't you think it's the ADSL provider? Applying QoS wouldn't help in the case of an ADSL provider with poor latency or congestion.

I use DrayTEL for all my calls (on a dedicated good quality DSL line) and it's fine nearly always.

Suggest you try your DrayTEL account from another location; you could use the DrayTek softphone wih a headset.

We have good quality business broadband.
Never have a problem with it.
Tried Sipgate day before yesterday.
Dialed from two phones simaltaneousy ... both through same modem ...

Got an outside line immediately with sipgate
Nothing with Draytel..

The question is can anyone make a recommendation for a quality provider of SIP trunks ( not that is not Draytel ) ?

Yes, but I'd still suggest testing DrayTEL at another location to eliminate local factors, and possibly save some hassle.
