SIP VOIP 2710vn & Virgin Media

I was wondering if anyway can shed some light on how I get the VOIP to work with 2710Vn connected Virgin media broadband.

1. The Virgin superhub router is connect to virgin cable
2. I have Vignor 2710Vn (ADSL2+ router) ethernet port 1 connected to port 1 of the superhub
3. I have DHCP enable on Superhub and disabled on 2710Vn
4. Everything working fine from internet perspective perspective including wireless
5. I have standard PSTN pone connect to Vigor 2710Vn Phone 1 port
6. My sip provider is sip.voipfone.net - all registered
7. 2710vn does not show registration of the sip.voipfone.net
8. the voipfone software (zoiper) work fine from my computer
9. Cannot connect to sip to use the phone over VOIP - any advise?

Could it be because it needs an active WAN port? if so, can get LAN to be a WAN port?

I don't know about the 2710vn, but on my setup I have had to buy a separate router and put the Virgin superhub into modem mode. Using the superhub in router mode I couldn't get voip to work no matter what I tried.
