2860Vac checking SIP registration attempts

Recently purchased a 2860Vac. Running latest BT-approved firmware: 3.8.4.2_BT
My VDSL ISP delivers its landline over a VoIP service.

On the router, I've entered all the SIP account details correctly but never see 'R' under its status. The ISP also has received no registration or connection attempt on its server logs.

Where are the VoIP/SIP logs on the router?

How do I go about troubleshooting this to essentially get this to work?

I don't yet have a physically phone plugged into the router's phone ports, but I assume this should not matter to actually getting the router to register/connect to the SIP Account.

Please advise.

Thanks

Further to this: a DrayTEL voucher came with the router. Used this to create an account there and then following the DrayTek Knowledge Base article on setting up VoIP. That doesn't work either (no 'R' for registration success).

I'm sure there's a fix. Please help

SIP logs can be viewed on telnet...sorry can't remember the command.
No, you don't need a phone plugged in to register with a SIP server.

Likely just a combination of login credentials needs to be correct, assuming the ISP is using standard SIP.

Thanks

I now fixed this. I was leaving the Proxy field blank - even though not using a proxy the DrayTek configuration wants it populated with the server address.
