2860 POTS calls not ringing was created by kens
Hi All,

I've probably missed a simple setting somewhere. VOIP is working but incoming POTS calls on the Line port are not ringing either of the phones attached to the Phone1/2 ports. The LINE led on the router lights up but its not ringing on the phones.

If I dial #0 on one of the Phone1/2 phones I hear a relay click over and I get dial tone from the POTS line.

This should work shouldn't it?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ken

Is the Phone port splitter the one that came with the 2860V router?

There's also a CLI command to enable / disable ringing on each handset:

Code:
> voip dsp pstnringfxs ? % voip dsp pstnringfxs [1|2] [on|off] % [1|2]:1.FXS1, 2.FXS2 % example: Disable PSTN ring FXS2 % > voip dsp pstnringfxs 2 off % ========PSTN ring FXS status======== PSTN ring FXS1 : enable PSTN ring FXS2 : enable >

Hi Admin3,

Yes its the Draytek supplied splitter.

I changed the setting in the CLI and that's working now.

I have a separate question about CLI but I'll check the forum for an answer to that and maybe post again

Thanks
