SIP phones with Vigor 2830Vn-plus? was created by crazzyfool
Hi,

Is it possible to use SIP phones like the Cisco SPA303 and the Linksys SPA941 with the DrayTek Vigor 2830 VoIP?

Thanks

As a phone! ...........sorry if it's a dumb question. Obviously you seem to able to connect two analogue phones and then essentially use them like IP phones connecting to SIP providers like DrayTel. Guess you couldn't also add two additional SIP (not analogue) phones like the two I mentioned above?

Okay..it was important to understand your topology and expectations. The SIP phone ports on the router are the SIP endpoints - the router intercepts SIP and uses it for its ports, so if you have additional native SIP phones behind the router, they may not work correctly - at all, no incoming calls, or other issues. If you disable SIP on the router it can work but then you lose the router's phone ports. However, if you use a STUN server, it should work, or different SIP ports etc.
