HTTPS timeouts with online banking was created by ithelpiow
I have an issue with a new Draytek 2820 router.
While accessing online secure banking websites (HSBC,Barclays)
The web pages seem to timeout during use.
Which means signing back into the sites to access services again.
This is not an issue with the sites, as they work fine at home etc.
Not having any problems with other sites, https or http.
Also using the existing BT router, I don't have any problems.
This eliminates the PC config and ISP. So seems to be the router.
Anybody else come across this issue?

I have the same problem; the only workaround i have found is to put specific workstations onto their own external IP - which is not ideal. Did you get any progress with this issue? My problem is with a 2800VG with multiple external IPs

take the multiple ip's out of the nat pool. this generally cures it although it could be an mtu problem. but try this first.

glad it worked out. just for anybody else who is suffering this type of problem:
if you have multiple ip's and select "join nat pool" in wan alias, the router will reply on a random ip within the pool. obviously the bank (or any other institution that enforces strict security) will wonder what is happening when the reply comes from a different ip that originally logged on.
as such, it will normally drop the connection which will result in you having to log on again.
