It would be good to have an 'ADSL off' command on the web interface to completely turn off the ADSL segment of the router for those of us using separate modems. Currently even if all the DSL elements are disabled the router seems to keep looking for an active DSL line (constant flashing of the DSL light).
I have found the 'ADSL idle' telnet command however that is purely temporary until the router is power-cycled.
Don't mind if it's telnet or web config driven however the latter option would be better so it can be saved out into the backup if set.

I would guess that there's very little demand for such a feature so maybe unlikely for development.

I would find such a function very useful. I connect via a 3G card and do not have ADSL. The Syslogs are full of ADSL related errors (ie cannot connect). Therefore disabling ADSL would help a lot.

So would I. Apart from the Syslog pollution you get, it's also irritating to see the endlessly flashing LED when there is no cable in the ADSL socket.

Same here as WAN2 Virgin cable user. ADSL idle is nice but only until next reboot. The ADSL search just fills my log files.
