Thanks very much for your help. For the last 2 years I've been unable to run anything but the original firmware with Talktalk on my 2800VG, otherwise it wouldn't connect to gmail & others. By following your advice and using the DrTCP software everything works fine on the latest firmware. Great!

Thanks from me too. I have just switched over to TalkTalk Pro and have a 2800VG and could not access Gmail either. I tried reducing the MTU down to 1400 to no avail, and didn't think to go as low as 1200.

This has really made my day after about three hours of frustration, as although Gmail worked other things didn't with the router TalkTalk supplied.

Now if only the 2800VG could be as fast as TalkTalk's D-Link (only 11Mbit/s vs nearly 13Mbit/s.)
