Hi, i've just setup this system, my first use of a draytek modem.

What works:
Internet 100% can get to any page any place I want too.

Downloads 25% by that I mean a test download from fileplanet via the download manager are stalling disconnecting and restarting (even giving the error no servers available)

Skype extremely twitchy, works for 5-10 mins then drops whoever your talking with.

Left4Dead extremely twitchy hosted a local game friends joined and they kept disconnected, then it said I couldn't connect to steam. so kicked me too.

Now I know we are not loosing internet connection because wife is on second life and the browser says uptime 1 hour 31 mins which is when I turned it on.

ADSL2+ on pipex/bulldog (was using a netgear wag 54gs earlier today everything was fine) been running l4d games etc for awhile no problems and im on skype 24/7 almost lol.

ADSL information
TX Blocks 2079234 RX Blocks 2579808 corrected 0 uncorrected 177

ADSL status
ADsl2+ (g.992.5) showtime upspeed 102300 downspeed 13442000
snr 11 att 37

Firmware 3.2.1

What should I be doing first to try figure this out?

ps3 (its off atm)
games pc (mine)
Mud server (txt based mud)
Wifes pc (second life etc)
Xbox360 (not on)
media pc (not on)

maybe a little p2p (downloading the fear2 demo)

But this morning all this was on the netgear wag and it handles it fine.

Upgrade the firmware to the latest version 3.30 and see if you have the same problems also you could install the syslog application setup the syslog on your router under ->System Maintenance -> Syslog

A very interesting thread indeed. I've been having similar problems to those reported last year with my brand-new Vigor 120 modem. Surfing and normal internet use absolutely fine, no problems with World of Warcraft. Second Life a very different story with it crashing after a few seconds or a couple of minutes at best. Spent a lot of time playing with my network, but eventually replaced the Vigor 120 and the problem vanished.
