Can anyone confirm they have a 2700 series running on BT 21CN/WBC using ADSL2+ (G.992.5) modulation OK :?:
Thanks.

I've just been switched over on PlusNet (BT line and PN are BT now anyway), on my 2700V.
It's up and running with mode set as 'ADSL2+(G.992.5)'. Synced upstream at 76000, downstream is 7008000, which is better than standard ADSL (I had 6Mbps downstream and half the upstream).
However SNR margin has gone right down. It's pushing down towards 1db. Atten is 46.
Also, a speedtest shows my throughput to be only 512k up and down !!
Don't know if that's the modem, PlusNet or BT at issue there. It's only day 1 though so maybe things are supposed to change as it sorts out the profile or whatever.

The dlm is far more dynamic on 21cn so expect your download speed to go down and snr up sometime in the next couple of days.
The upload speed may well be capped at 512 0 ther is a orofile option for that. if it stays at this after a few days its worth raising a ticket with pn andd asking them to uncap.
sorry for all lower case. typing 1 handed.

Aha, yeah it's much better today. 6.5mbps downstream throughput and 640kbps upstream. So again, slight improvement over what I had before.

Hmm, sync keeps changing quite a bit. Currently synced at over 7Mbps.
But throughput changes even more. Currently back down to 0.5Mbps down!

FYI, there appear to be issues with congestion on some of BT's 21cn exchanges which may be causing the low speeds particularly at peak periods. According to PN.
Aside from that, I'm getting some sync issues now but not sure if it's my line. SNR is a lot more variable, going up and down a fair bit. Throughput download still remains far worse than when I was on plain ADSL, but as I say there are these BT issues apparently.
Main thing is I'm worse off with ADSL2+ than on ADSL. Question is, whether the model of router makes a difference.
