Firmware Update on 2820 was created by davrosg5
What is the best way to update the firmware on a 2820 from a Mac (PowerMac G5 running Mac OS X 10.5.7)?

When I try to use the routers web interface I get told that the firmware filename is invalid.

I downloaded the latest firmware and this is the name of the firmware I'm trying to install:
v2820_v03312_232201_A.all

Is the web interface a dead loss or am I doing something wrong?

I had that problem with firefox, but it seems to work ok in Safari for me, at least with the latest beta of Safari 4 anyway. Having said that, I've been running a 3.3.1 beta on my 2820, so that may also have fixed those issues for me.

I find the most reliable way is use the router tools (download from website) and upgrade that way, different browsers can have different problems I've found.

shorten the name down to v2820.all
usually works for me!

2820 = 3.3.2_RC5
2950 = 3.2.4

Right, I have tried:

Shortened filename to v2820.all - still invalid filename
I tried using the Router Tools to do the update and that also failed.
I also tried Firefox, Safari and Opera and none of them managed to do upload the firmware update.

I'm connected to the router via a 5 port gigabit Ethernet hub, could this be causing the problems?

2820 = 3.3.2_RC5
