2820 set up for Virgin Media Cable Modem was created by dodge2075
Very much a newbie with the Vigor routers. I am about to connect my Vigor 2820 to my home CAT5 network using the standard Virgin cable modem connected as WAN 2. I have tried useing the quick set up guide on the Vigor disk but find it much more grown up than what I have been used to!

I have printed off the 'Set up for NTL and Telewest Blueyonder' on the Draytek FAQ page. This only mentiond the Vigor 2104P and 2300 cable modems. Is the 2820 the same procedure?

Grateful for any help.

leave wan 2 as dhcp. plug your cable modem in and then turn the cable modem on. it needs to be done in that order so the cable modem can aquire the mac address of the router.

2820 = 3.3.2_RC5
2950 = 3.2.4
