Basic question about 2820Vn annex M was created by bathsheba666
Hi,

I just downloaded a firmware update from May 2009 for my 2820Vn.
However, it is labelled Annex A.

How can I configure the router to be Annex M,
or get a firmware upgrade for this?

thanks

Annex A and Annex M refer to completely different things.

Annex A is ADSL over a telephone line (e.g. as in the UK), whereas Annex B is ADSL over ISDN (e.g. as in Germany)

Annex M refers to the ADSL standard (G995.x?) which governs how the ADSL is used/transmitted over your Annex A/B line.

The latest 2820 Annex A firmware is Annex M capable.

2900Gi/v2.5.6; 2900/v2.5.6

Ah, my question is even more basic than I thought.

Thanks for the clarification.
