Which SNR margin is which? was created by habile
Does anyone know which of the margins shown below is the one dictated by the MUX? I presume it's the ATU-C Info - Far SNR Margin?

Code:

Far SNR is for yout outbound data. You can't see the DSLAM/MSAN imposed SNR on that screen (or any other). you can find it out though, by rebooting, and it'll be the same as CUR SNR the moment showtime begins.

Thanks Lorian! That'll be 15dB then :( ... no idea why on such a short line. Real shame you can't force margin on the Drayteks. I plugged a dLink in and forced SNRM to 6db and it gave me 8128 and stayed solid with no errors after 4/5 hours. The 2820 however still has increasing errors even with the lower sync speed :(

Shame really - this connection has been great for 3 years and the 2820 for 1 year of that.

Whos's the ISP. If you are on max have you aked them to get BT to change it, they might if you NAG.

If you are on 21CN you can't get BT to change it, but it is much better at coming down on its own.

Entanet via ADSL24... they have been less than helpful :(
