Hi guys

I'm currently running firmware 3.3.1.2_232201 and have just noticed that 3.3.2.1 has recently been released that supports sharing USB disks.

I'd like to mess around with this feature, however I host a few websites as well as an exchange server hosted through my broadband connection and don't want to screw that up... so the question is... is this new firmware relatively stable or will I have some issues with it?

I rolled-back the FW: due to the issues I experienced.

Seemed OK internally until I got reports from outside of issues connecting.

I have a single external IP and use NAT port forwarding to forward ports 80, 25 and 110 (amongst others) to my internal server, so I don't think the issue you mentioned should affect me... but thanks

I've still been holding of on upgrading because I can't afford the risk of being "offline" for too long if it all goes pear shaped.

Has anybody else had any show stopper issues with the new firmware? Also are there any other benefits to it other than the NAS options?

if I load 3.3.2.1 on my 2820n it seems fine but every couple of days the router freezes and allows no traffic to or from the internet and cannot be accessed on the web admin page. Only option is a physical reboot and the all works fine for a couple of day sand round we go again.

This has happened repeatedly.

I reverted to an earlier release I had (3.1.2) and router was perfect for well over a week. I then tried 3.3.2.1 again with a fresh download from Draytek and exact same problems returned.

For me 3.3.2.1 is a non started.

For all its worth, I'd stay with the relatively unstable 3.3.1.2 if I were you!
I've had a few attempts at the new firmware without success.

As rubbish as 3.3.1.2 is, its far better than the 3.3.2.1
At least I have intermittent connection, which is better than NO connection.

What on earth are Draytek's QA department doing?
Have they got one?
If so, were they on holiday when this was released?

I'm seriously considering going back to Cisco for all the routers at work.
the release of the 2820 router has got to be their bigges joke yet!
BUT ITS NOT FUNNY!

Why the hell did they stop making the 2800? it was their most stable unit.
