Why? It's already Gigabit which is infinitely faster than you're ever going to get through a WAN connection. Just for two servers/PCs to talk to each other ?

Hi Admin, and thanks for your input.
My original points 1 and 2 should not be read in isolation.
Essentially, my wish list is asking for a larger LAN port capacity so that there are sufficient ports to realistically support 802.3ad. Then, devices such as a NAS, which has high traffic demand can utilise the facility.
Point taken about bandwith on the WAN, but this is for a LAN to LAN traffic flow, where the demand is not a 1 to 1 demand, but one 1 to many.
Yes, I could use a seperate switch, but I would prefer to keep as much on a single device that I can.
