I had a 2800. Had printer and 3g modem hooked up via unpowered (powered worked as well) USB hub. Both worked great.

Moved to a 2820 - Printer does not work. 3G modem does, so does a memory stick alongside 3G modem. The only way I can get a printer to work on 2820 is to plug it in directly.

Have tried all sorts of combos with Powered/Unpowered hubs, cable lengths etc. Basically a setup that works fine with 2800 does not work with 2820.

Draytek UK said that USB function should be the same between the 2 routers and cannot explain it.

Anybody got a printer working via a USB Hub on a 2820? In which case what printer and router firmware?

Many thanks!

I've discovered that post firmware 3.1.3 you cannot use a USB hub to connect a printer to the 2820.

In 3.1.3 I have managed to hook up printer, 3G modem via hub. Albeit printer icon does not display in the Online Status page, but it does work.

Any firmware after that printing stops via hub. You have to plug USB in direct.

If anyone is on later firmware and prints via hub could you let me have details!

Thanks.
