Hi All

Got a prob!!

Setting up a draytek 2800 on site and cant get a sync!!
Does the dsl light have to be on solid?
Does the router sense an ADSL line straight out of the box like others?
(Installed 3 last week and for the life of me I cant remember) :oops:

The prob I have got is that the small netgear I'm replacing does get a sync!!

There is currently a problem with the ADSL Line which drops out frequently but being looked at by BT soon, but I cant get the draytek to connect at all!

Can any one help! please :lol:

DrayTek units will synch out of the box.

Check which router firmware and adsl modem code is running on your router via the system maintenance -> system status page.

You can download different ADSL versions and see if a specific version gives synch for the line conditions.

E67.36.1 is:

Try all three versions to see if one gives synch.

i seem to be having the same problem the DSL light does not SYNC and was wondering if anyone had any idea's, i can get one connection working if i use Wan2 (Via another modem) but i wanted to use 2 connections as the link is only 800k.

any help would be good

Similar problem here, I'm taking the ADSL cable straight out of the back of a BT Fusion router which syncs up at 3.5 meg stable, and plugging it into the draytek. The Draytek doesn't sync up - just cycles between Ready, Full init, Handshaking and Reset.

I'm on the latest UK firmware, and have also tried the other firmwares from the draytek.com site, all give the same behaviour.

What Mode do you have the ADSL line in, i have found in the past setting it specifically to G.DMT instead of multimode will get a sync instead of just looping
