Usage scenario was created by bibbleq
Hello all,
I was looking to get a Vigor 100 for its VPN passthrough capabilities but i see that the 120 has now replaced it. The product info does not mention VPN passthrough any more (although i imagine it still will?!)

My usage scenario is as follows:

SBS 2003 premium with 2 NICs (one internal, one external). Currently the external NIC connects to the modem provided by my ISP (Plusnet). The modem takes the first IP and then i have given my 2k3 server the other IP's in my range (8 ips). Currently i cant connect to my server with VPN as the packets get mangled.

If i replace the modem with a vigor 120 will it be able to pass through all the VPN packets correctly and so allow me to connect to the ISA server (part of SBS 2k3 prem)

Thanks,

Ben.

It should be able to, it only works as a modem. You'd just have to set up a PPPoE connection on your SBS 2003 server, which would effectively make that the router, then you could pass IP addresses on through the server.
