2930 - Dual WAN - Session problems? was created by linker3000
Hi I have a 2930 connected to a Be LLU line (via ADSL24) and a BT broadband service via a Draytek 110 and a 120 modem. Firmware is 3.2.2
We are having frequent https session-type errors where we login successfully to a Web site, but soon get kicked back to the login page and I wondered if the 2930 could be flipping its ADSL routing on live connections so that the WAN gateway as seen by the remote server changes and this is causing problems?
It certainly seems that if I disable one of the ADSL accounts everything stabliises.
Any thoughts or tips on 2930 setup?
Thanks

I have a 2950 using 2 Wans's and I had the same problems with certain forums and websites especially using HTTPS. You may login with Wan1 but while your browsing the site your conection changes to Wan2 so your external IP address will change so the site kicks you out rightly so.
Only solution is to create Wan rules e.g I send all port 443 traffic to Wan1, not so good if you want load balancing but I use dual Wans for fail safe.

Damn - but thanks for confirming. You'd think a connected, secure session would be locked down to whatever WAN port it was established through.
May have words with Draytek.

For info, Draytek acknowledge that the behaviour is as expected and that setting a WAN rule is required.
There's notes about it here:
