Hi Rob,
I just came here looking for some information on another problem I have, but thought I would at least give you a reply as someone else may be able to help.

Re your problem could you explain this a bit more, is the access from an external location etc ? you need to explain the network topology a bit better so that people know exactly what you are trying to achieve.

ok Draytek is on range 192.168.0.1 i can RDP to all machines that get a IP from this router or are fixed in this routers range using IP or netbios names. i have WAN 2 that gives me more bandwidth on the drytek network WAN 2 connects to another ADSL modem router that has some servers on it in the range 192.168.1.1

I can RDP to the servers on WAN2 via IP but not via netbios name

does that make more sense? I can do i diagram if required

Hi
Obiously netbios is being blocked between the two subnets. I'm not an expert on the drayteks either so what I say is just what I would try if I was onsite.
Look at the firewall under default call filter and add a rule to allow netbios between the two subnets. This needs to be moved to the top of the list then so that the default call filter (block netbios) doesn't get it first.
Worth a try, hopefully now someone else with more knowledge can chip in,
cheers
