VPN & Webcam was created by rwaggers
Until recently, we have a Netgear FVS328 and either end of a VPN.
The VPN only handled two Terminal Server connections (for a shop EPOS system) and a webcam. All worked well.

We have now replaced the Netgear boxes with 2820's at each end and as soon as we launch the webcam the VPN slows to the point of becoming unusable.

The ping rate without the webcam is 60ms rate, but with the webcam it's around the 1850ms mark.

The webcam is connected to a separate security system.

I'm assuming that this is something to do with the 2820's as the Netgears worked flawlessly.

I'm a total beginner with DrayTek products and VPN's in general.

Can any kind soul point me in the right direction?

Many thanks

HI,

Have you teied setting QoS (Quality of Service) for this setup?
Found in 'Bandwidth Management'
This will at least prioritise the traffic going through your Drayteks.
QoS is NOT available over broadband but at least you can have some control on your own network.
