2820n WAN Teaming. was created by spudster
I understand that the device can load-balance, i.e
HTTP - WAN1
FTP - WAN2
HTTPS - WAN1
Server123 - WAN1
Server321 - WAN2
etc.
But can both WAN ports work together on a single file/connection or am I totally off the mark?

Replied by larrylloyd on topic WAN's operate independantly
Hi Spudster
My understanding is:..........
WAN-1 will be with provider-A
WAN-2 will be with provider-B (or second connection with proviver-A)
However, they will be on two seperate I/P addresses and therefore cannot communicate with the same remote endpoint at the same instant!
Because data transfer works from one i/p address (natted or not) and port number to another at a time.
eg...
Website 'ABC' (I/P 1.1.1.2)
Your two WAN's I/P 2.2.2.3 & 2.2.2.4
When you request something from a web page, you may be using 2.2.2.3 and so the web page will send the info to 2.2.2.3 and not 2.2.2.4
Is that confusing enough?
I'll stop there....
