I seem to have an issue with the 2820n whereby I am unable to upload JPEG files. Now its a very familiar problem to me because I have used Draytek Routers for a long time and this was always a problem with our 2800 routers as well. The thing is, it was easily fixed in the 2800 routers by unchecking the 'Allow non http traffic on port 80' option. However, there is no such option in the 2820n and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to make this work. I cant be causing it myself through my use of rules because there is nothing appearing in the logs so I just dont get it. Can anyone shed any light?

Interesting. I was not aware of this and need to email many jpegs soon. Testing using GMAIL (using FireFox v3.5.3), the upload to the GMAIL server initally failed and the GMAIL error message suggested "firewall or proxy" as a problem. However GMAIL also suggests using its "Classic Uploader" option. This option certainly works and the 2.5 MB jpeg uploaded to the server and was successfully emailed (into my wife's box).
Using a 2820N with firmware 3.3.2.1_232201.

My intial problem appears to be a google/gmail Flash issue when using gmail's advanced mode; see http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=42f47805b8ab242f&hl=en
"Classic Uploader" is part of gmail's basic mode.
However trying the same jpeg file with gmail in advanced mode and IE 8.0.7600.16385 using HTTPS succeeded with no problem. HTTPS was used with FireFox also, so is probably a red herring

To bring up an old thread does anyone have any ideas on this? I just upgraded to the 5510 at our head office and still have the same problem. Our own website in fact is the biggest problem. Our marketing department use a content management interface to change the website content which includes an image uploading facility that they cant currently use. Like I said I had it working when we were using a Vigor 2800 because of this 'Allow non http traffic on port 80' option but this option just isn't there on later models
