hi

i'm having some trouble with the vigor 2820n i'm trying to have only one computer able to torrent and the rest of the network blocked. i set up a port redirection and opened the port and pointed them at the computer i want to be able to torrent. the firewall is blocking p2p however i added a rule to give the computer in question a pass. I am able to recieve some torrents however it is at a much slower rate than if i bypass the router and plug directly into the connection.

any one have any ideas?

thanks for any help

1. Have you definitely opened all the ports?

2. Have you put the machine which is running the torrent, on a fixed IP address, so it's always got the same IP.

have not opened all ports as i don't feel that would be terribly secure, i have opened the port that the torrent client is running off
