Help Using RIP was created by benway
I've got a hub and spoke type setup with a 2950 running firmware version 3.2.4 at the centre and a mixture of 2950, 2820 and 2800 connecting in.

I now need to route between the remote sites and thought rip was the answer but i'm having various success.

I haven't managed to get a 2800 to exchange routes at all with the 2950. I've got 2800s on firmware 2.8.2 which i believe is the latest.

Are the 2800s just not going to work ?

I've had mixed success with the 2820s and firmware version 3.3.2.1_232201 seems to work.

Anybody use RIP successfully and have hard and fast rules on
which hardware/firmware versions always work ?

TIA
Benway
