PPTP VPN Passthrough Dropouts was created by bchris999
Hi All,
I have a brand new 2820n with a ethernet (managed) internet connection and a ADSL line set up in load balancing mode. This was put in place of an existing firewall.
There is a PPTP server behind the Draytek and PPTP traffic has been passed to this server from the WAN using the Open Ports feature. Firewall has been opened as necessary (port 1723 and protocol 47), and PPTP has been disabled on the Vigor itself.
The PPTP connection was working fine with the old firewall. Now, after a random amount of time (between 5 mins and 20 mins), the PPTP connection stops receiving any traffic (from the PPTP clients perspective). When this happens however, the VPN remains connected (doesnt drop, just stops responding).
This is the same on multiple machines. I have triple checked every setting on the Vigor, however have found nothing obvious that could be causing this. Everything else is working perfectly. (There are other services NATted through which are all fine)
Was wondering if anyone had any ideas?
Thanks
