Vigor 3300V and BTnet performance issue was created by ajstevens
We've got a Vigor3300V, our primary Router, with WANs 1-3 in use, WAN1 and 2 Load balanced.

We're now trying to add a fourth WAN, using a BTnet 10M service.

We first tested it and got it going on a Vigor 2820, and it worked, but rather poorly on speed wise, BT told us to set the Vigor/PC's NIC to 10M Full Duplex as the Btnet nic does not do Auto Negotiation "well". Afterwhich we get 9Mbps down and 8Mbps up (not sure why we lose 1Mbps up... but anyway..).

However, when trying to now connect it to the Vigor 3300V, Using 10M or 100M Full duplex setting it does not appear to connect, there's no webpages coming through, the "LINK" light for WAN4 does not light, yet the interface says it's "connected" for Connection Status.

It seems the "Connection Status" is useless as it says it's connected all the time it's ticked as "active", even without an ethernet cable connected to it!

If I leave it on auto negotiation, then it does actually appear to work, but the performance is dreadful, download is 7.5 Mbps, and 0.7Mbps upload. The upload is very important to us.

10M Half Duplex does work, but gives the poor performance, this must be what Auto Negotiation sets itself to. Have tried on two Vigor3300V's and using different WAN ports, still the same problem.

I've updated to the latest firmware, and still not having much luck with this.

Anyone else using a 3300V WAN as Static, or better yet using it with a BTnet 10M service?

It seems the Vigor 3300V's Physical Mode is duff?

no one?

We still have this issue, best we can do is stick a Netgear switch inbetween, and lose out on a few Upload M's performance.
