i'm tring to set up 3G backup on my 2820 with my orange HUAWEI E160E HSDPA USB Stick - thoretically compatible. i've gone through the FAQ's and set everything up - checked the APN - "consumerbroadband" and entered that - tried to Dial PPP - "starting PPP" - nothing. i also tried the APN "internetvpn" from the faq's - nothing.

has anybody had any sucsess with setting this up with a stick?

orangeinternet should also be worth a go, it might depend on which firmware you've got though, definitely worth trying the 3.3.3 firmware if you haven't got it already on the router.

I tried this with a Vodafone E172 on firmware 3.3.3 and got nowhere. I haven't tried with previous firmware versions yet because I haven't had the time but that will be my next move.

An Update

upgraded to 3.3.3 none of the APN's given to me by orange worked, but voodle's orangeinternet got a connection, so a minor victory for the geeks.
