vigor 120 modem issue

vigor 120 modem issue was created by swirllygig
Recently purchased one of these modems (it was a faulty one) so I updated the firmware as instructed from broadband buyer the shop i bought it from and used the draytek update manager all seemed to work well but i cannot log onto the setup page to change the settings ?? ip used was 192.168.1.1 as instructed. Any help apprereciated Paul

The default address is 192.168.2.1 -- give that a try

Thanks for reply already tried that no luck. the instructions sent for updating to new firmware said use ip 192.168.1.1 ? in update tool

I think the default on the Vigor 120 is http://192.168.2.1

...ah, yes, just checked, it is:

If it was a Vigor120 with the wrong config then before the upgrade the router would be on 192.168.1.1 and after the upgrade that puts it to UK settings the router would be on 192.168.2.1.

Check your PC IP, as you'd need to release / renew it's IP so that it is allocated an IP on 192.168.2.* after the upgrade has finished.
