OK, so I swapped a very happy 2800 for a 2820 tonight and subsequently I've been pulling my hair out with outbound mail problems. Mail just queues, if I use the Exchange queue viewer it complains about "451 4.4.0 dns query failed", yet I can drop to a command prompt on the SBS server and telnet to port 25 of the remote system. The remote system happens to be a smarthost so this issue stuffs up all outbound email. As a last resort I dropped the original 2800 back in place and all is now back to normal, all que'd mail is now gone. Im no expert with this setup, but have 20 odd setups with a draytek or some sort and an SBS of some version or other, and I have never had to do anything to the Drayteks to get outbound email working. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?
