3300 locking up was created by odyssey
Hi All,
has anyone had any issues with 3300 firewalls locking up? When they lock-up they dont respond or pass any traffic at all (As far as I can tell so far) and ALL the lights (LAN and WAN - even if not connected) are on solid.
Once power cycled the firewall goes back to normal.
We have quite a few of these firewalls in use and has happened to approx 60% of them. One of them does it on a daily basis. The daily one was recently updated to the latest firmware but still has the same issue.
Thanks
Neil

You may want to enable session limits and come back and check in data flow monitor a bit later to see what is using too many sessions...

Thanks, I'll give that a go. - What would you recommend limiting the sessions to? How many sessions should the 3300 be able to handle?

Hi, The way we resolved it was to downgrade to an older firmware version. I cant remember the exact version now im affraid. Not an ideal solution I know but it worked.

Cheers for that Odyssey, I did upgrade firmware recently so a downgrade could be another option for me to go for if what I'm trying now doesnt work.
Many thanks,
L
