Hi, I have been getting slow speeds with my 2800G on to a BE ADSL2 20meg circuit even after setting it up as detailed for BE working.

I now want to use its router/VPN/wifi/firewall capabilities behind the BE supplied thompson modem that will be working in bridged mode.

can anyone please explain what setup changes I will need on the Vigor to achieve this, or can anyone point me to the correct info.

Thanks for your help.

It's not really possible to use the 2800 as a router using another device as the modem / bridge. It can't be set up to use anything other than itself as a gateway.

What sort of slow speeds are you getting? Have you checked the INP settings with Be?

Hi thanks for your reply.

I was given the impresssion by Cerberus Networks support that it could be used this way, I was with Cerberus ( a BE value added retailer) but changed to BE as its price was cheaper.

The BE modem gives me 5.5mb/1.5m and the Draytek only gives 3.5m/0.9m.

thanks, Bill
