Vigor 2820n with latest firmware 3.3.3_232201

I get clusters of ADSL2 dropped connections, 12 drops in 1 or 2 days then OK for 2 weeks!!!

I can do a bit of trial and error on a bad day but when it returns to stable again I don't know if its me or the external conditions, nightmare to diagnose. This has been going on for a year now!

ISP and BT can't find any cause, yet to convince then to send engineer out to test physical wiring.

Just turned syslog back on but with all message options enabled I am flooded with messages.

Any tips on what syslog messages to disable or what to filter out in syslog server please.

Any other tips to diagnose. Thanks Steve.

Limit it to just the WAN logs from syslog, that should be more helpful.

If it was a problem with the router I'd expect it to be more consistently dropping, maybe check in the building for anything that could cause that? i.e. move it to a different location, run it from a different phone socket etc

Thanks Voodle, now set to WAN log + Router/DSL information.

I have two BB numbers from two ISPs, both on same physical cable into house. I have swapped router (2820n) and modem (vigor 100) around in the past, problem stays with the line not the router or modem.

Both router and modem are plugged into master sockets, there are no extensions , I use two DECT phones also from master sockets.

Problem still occurs with faceplate removed and an speedtouch ADSL filter plugged into test socket and no phone connected. New faceplate on order from ISP.
