Vigor 120 + Netgear FVX538 2nd WAN Port

Slight issue here, I can connect using the Vigor 120 when connected using a PC (needs BT supplied user & password), but when I plug it in the WAN port it doesn't actually connect. The FVX reports a connected status (green light), but the Vigor reports no connection (no green light on internet).

Interestingly if I set the WAN port user & pass it simply doesn't connect.

So, with no use and pass th FVX reports a connection, but I cannot reach the internet.

Now is this because I am running NAT rather than Classic Routing? If so I have a real problem, as my other connection (Colt Fibre) is an RJ45 presentation that requires NAT.

Any ideas would be much appreciated...

I must admin I'm not familiar with the Netgear FVX 538 - but I have got a DV120 working with a DV2950.

You mentioned the BT username and password, have you put these in to the Netgear WAN2 settings ?

The symptoms you describe suggest the DV120 is waiting for the ISP settings.

Regards,

Neal

I can query the WAN port and it returns me external IP addresses...
