The descriptions of the Vigor 2820n say that I can use the USB FTP server feature for users on the LAN or WAN - however all the setup guides only discuss and illustrate LAN users.

I have this working properly on the LAN, but I need to allow public access to the FTP folders from the WAN.

I cannot find out how to set this up?

I tried enabling the Management Access feature for FTP Server but this still wouldn't allow access to the USB FTP folders AND it also killed my HTTPS access to my server (which is currently using OPEN PORTS settings) DESPITE not ticking the HTTPS box.

HELP!!!!

Anyone got any ideas?

As an experiment I'd try opening/forwarding port 21 on the routers WAN IP to port 21 on it's LAN IP. Management Servers turned off OC.
