Old Vigor 2600 (c2002) vs ADSL2+ was created by orbling
Hello,

Just a quick question - does anyone know if the older, in particular a 2002 issue, Vigor2600 routers are compatible with the ADSL2+ system.

I can upgrade to the 21CN for free and am wondering if I need to get a new router first. I have a 2820 at work that may be going spare shortly if absolutely necessary.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

- Orb

It is compatible but will of course only work in ADSL mode.

Aye, so I could get the service regraded and upgrade the router as and when, is that right?

I used my 2600 for a while when my line was upgraded to ADSL2+, worked fine.
