DHCP x-serve with fixed IP was created by rickblackdog
Hi, using the vigor 2820vn (just got, it's great so far), I set my server (mac x-serve) up to handle DHCP., so DHCP's off on the vigor. Clients are able to connect wirelessly ok and are being assigned IP's from the x-serve nicely.

Problem is the server itself is set external static IP in network settings, but I can't get it to connect to the internet. I don't see the server on it's own DHCP.

Do I need to open a port? I have no firewall on the server (yet). Or should the server be assigned an internal IP and NAT setup (how?)

Thanks for your help,

Rick
