Can this be done with a Vigor 2110 (or any router)?

Hi folks,

Router newbie here.

I would like to try using a router to share out my laptop's paid wifi connection so other users can use the wifi for free.

My plan so far is:
* Connect laptop to wifi network and pay for a login.
* Enable laptop's internet-sharing via its ethernet port.
* Connect laptop to router via ethernet.
* Enable router's own wifi network.
* Clients connect to router's wifi network and access internet via laptop's wifi connection.

My question is, will this work?

One possible complication is that the paid wifi connection is probably locked to my laptop's MAC address, so I don't know if it will allow other clients access even if they are coming through the laptop.

Is there some way to make anything coming through the router appear to have the same MAC address as the laptop?

Anyone done this?

Don't do it mate. You could be held legally responsible for anything these "others" do with your connection.
