Hi All,

Re: Vigor 2820n and VOIP Trixbox

We have a new Vigor 2820n which were are trying to set up.

We have a number of Sipura VOIP analogue terminal adapters which are supposed to login to a Trixbox linux voip server.

We have had the system running on other broadband routers without problems.

Our problem is that the Sipura ATA's cannot see the trixbox server.

We can login to the user interface of the ATA's and can login to the trixbox interface via the network.

So a computer on the network can see the trixbox. It's just that the ATA's can't see it.

If I unplug the Draytek and stick in our useless O2 broadband router then all works fine...the ATA's see and login to the trixbox.

We cannot stick with the O2 router as it's too problematic running an office network using it. We need the stability of the Draytek router, but also need the VOIP phone system to work.

Our Draytek router is the Vigor 2820n. It's not the one with the built in VOIP.

Any ideas?

Kind regards

Brian.

It's not clear; is the Trixbox on the same LAN as the ATAs ?

Hi Admin,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes the Trixbox is on the same LAN (I think) as we can access it's user interface from another computer on the LAN by typing its IP address into Internet Explorer on the other computers.

We can access the ATA's in a similar manner.

As such, you would expect them to be on the same LAN, but the problem does suggest there is something amiss between the ATA's and the Trixbox.

The system works using the O2 router....with no changes to the system, simply unplugging Draytek and plugging in O2 router.

Does the Draytek have any obscure networking settings that we may have missed?

Thanks for your help.
