2820N Connection after LAN IP change was created by dickster
Hi,
I've had a look through the topics but can't find an answer.
I have had a 2820N for 5months and has worked flawlessly. I had to add some more machines/access to the internal LAN and Internet etc, and as I had forgotten the password I rebooted to Factory defaults.
Inputted all the data and fine. Have access from machines out to/from the internet. But nothing on the LAN - which is understandable as the servers have there pre-arranged IP addresses.
So then I change to LAN IP to one that suits all the servers on the network (the one the router was at before I rebooted) and now I get NO internet. The connection is made with my ISP and IP address issued, and having spoken to them they can verify my connection, but no machines/smart phones on the network display any web pages. Machines access internal LAN without an issue. If I change it back to 192.168.1.1 everything is back to normal internet wise, but the servers aren;t accessible.
Can anyone tell me where I've gone wrong ? What needs ticking or unticking ?
Cheers

Is the gateway address on the LAN PC's hard coded for the Routers LAN address before you changed it ?
