Draytek 2955 with Vigor 120 - ftp file transfers are corrupt was created by kahlquist
Hi folks.
Last week I replaced on Draytek 2800V with a Draytek 2955 and a Vigor 120 on our BT Business Broadband line. I still have a Draytek 2800v on our ADSL line from Voipfone, I use this ADSL line for VOIP telephones and failover if the BT Business Broadline fails.
Never had problems with FTP uploads to our external web site until I put the Draytek 2955 and Vigor 120 in place.
Here is what is happening now.
Upload the file via FTP to our external web site via the ADSL line using the Draytek 2955 and Vigor 120, the file is correct size but does not install since the file is corrupt.
Upload the file via FTP to our external web site via the ADSL line using the Draytek 2800v and the file is the correct size and installs with no issues.
Firmware version on the Draytek 2955 is v3.2.5.1.
Any ideas since I can't see any settings to change. Checked the settings between the Dray2955 is the Draytek 2800v and no differences between.
Not using load balancing, so the 2nd WAN is disconnected.
Thanks,
Ken

I don't think the Draytek 2955 is at fault since I powered off the Vigor 120 so it would use the other ADSL line.
So on ADSL line from Voipfone going into the Draytek 2800 then into the Draytek 2955 the ftp uploads work fine.

All,
I am in the UK and the Vigor 120 is on firmware 3.2.4 and the modem code is 321311.
Reading the release notes for the Vigor 120, 332201 is the standard modem code.
Could this be the problem?

Flashed the modem with 3.2.4.1 with modem code 332201.
Which did not work resolve the issue.
Unit was configured with multimode modulation. Trying G.DMT modulation now.

All,
G.DMT modulation resolved the issue.
So my question is, if I would have received a unit new with modem code 332201 what would the modulation be set to?
Regards.

When I asked Draytek support about the following:
Vigor 120 is on firmware 3.2.4 and the modem code is 321311
Here are the responses:
Firmware Version: It depends on how long the stock held by supplier.
Okay....that I can understand.
Modem Code: I am not sure why it had different version, check with your supplier.
Now, can someone explain how the supplier would know the modem code? This is not marked anywhere on the box that I can see.
According the Draytek web site, 332201 is the standard modem code for the UK.
