21CN and 2820 - no connections was created by nick101
Any help appreciated.

My brand new 2820 will *not* maintain an ADSL2+ connection, whether 992.5, 992.3 or multimode (which choose 992.5). It will connect OK via G.DMT. When I say won't maintain - it'll establish the ADSL connection, get a network connection to the ISP (Zen) and then immediately reset. It'll loop like that indefinitely.

My older 2800, which I replaced because I gather it's not happy with ADSL2+, would always establish a connection in any mode, albeit at a slow sync rate.

On the 2820, if I connect via G.DMT, I get SNR margin of 20 and attenuation of 55. If I connect via 992.5 or 992.3, I get 0 and 64 respectively (which might, of course, explain why the connection drops immediately)

On the 2800, I got 16-24 and 52-55, whatever the connection mode.

The 2820 has the latest UK firmware.

Any ideas?

TIA

try the 211801 modem code from this page?
http://draytek.com/user/SupportDownloadsDetail.php?action=Load&MID=12&ID=305
An SNR of 0 is just odd however that modem code should help, otherwise maybe contact Draytek support as maybe there's some issue with the 2820.

Many thanks - now the 2820 will make a connection over G.992.5. Margin is now 7, attenuation 63, so it looks as if I'm not going to get any more speed. Bah!

Thanks again.
