Hi,
We currently have 2 Draytek 2820's running firmware 3.3.3. We have 2 separate lines coming into the building, both using BeThere Pro as the boardband supplier - one ADSL2+(G.992.5) the other ADSL2+ Annex M. We originally had BeThere and BT, configured with fail over and load balacing via WAN2 on both modems.
Since ditching BT and provisioning the second link with BeThere we've stumbled into issues.
1. When configuring WAN2 under Internet Access as type Ethernet, with a static IP, the configuration shows as "None" on both modems.
2. Each 2820 has been allocated a range of static IP's by the ISP.
Draytek 2820 #1:
123.456.98.102/21 - Main IP for the 2820
123.456.98.104/21
123.456.98.105/21
123.456.98.107/21
123.456.98.109/21
123.456.98.112/21
123.456.98.113/21
123.456.98.114/21
GW: 123.456.96.1
Draytek 2820 #2:
123.456.78.34/21 - Main IP for the 2820
123.456.78.35/21
123.456.78.36/21
123.456.78.37/21
123.456.78.38/21
123.456.78.39/21
123.456.78.40/21
123.456.78.41/21
123.456.78.42/21
123.456.78.43/21
123.456.78.44/21
123.456.78.45/21
123.456.78.46/21
123.456.78.47/21
123.456.78.48/21
GW: 123.456.96.1
As you can see, both ranges are on the same subnet. When configuring the WAN2 ports on each 2820, setting the default GW and configuring load balancing to send traffic via the second 2820 - all connectivity stops.
The setup for each WAN2:
Draytek 2820 #1 -
WAN2 - 123.456.xxx.36/21
Draytek 2820 #2- 123.456.xxx.34/21
WAN2 - 123.456.xxx.35/21
Default GW - 123.456.xxx.34/21
Any help would be appreciated.
