2800VG - possible to use with cable? was created by adam.dullenty
Hey,
I own a 2800VG, nowhere near enough of the original packaging to sell it for enough to go and buy a cable router from DrayTek so was wondering whether there was a way I could use this with my cable connection (virgin media)? Either a modified firmware or super secret hidden menu option or anything really.
Alternatively... swaps?
Cheers,
Adam

No you're out of luck - the 2800 series are ADSL routers.

I know... but for the amount I paid for it new I was hoping there would be some way to turn off the ADSL modem part and set one of the lan ports as the wan connection.
Knew it was a long shot though.
