I use a Devolo Homeplug 200Mb devices with my 2820Vn, connected to the Gig port, without any problem. Used various firmwares in the router so I don't think your problem is firmware related.

Try plugging the router's switch mode p.s.u. Into a socket away from the homeplug device ... Perhaps there are rf emissions from the p.s.u. Which interfere ?

I have similar experience and it seems very much like interference from the router to me.
See also,http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=14641 . FYI, my original cable was at least 1m long however, the HomePlug was place very close to the router.

Hi thanks for all your replies, going to order a longer ethernet cable and move homeplug to another socket to see if it is interference thats causing the problem.

Still the same, moved the homeplug to another socket 4mtrs away and still homeplug steals the connection as soon as any device connected to it is switched on.
