2800G, ADSL2+ and SNR was created by flop
My SNR progressively falls during the day. When it reaches 5, the system resets and I synch at a lower speed and higher SNR. Which then falls ... and cycles - fall, reset, lower speed, higher SNR.
Depending on the synch rate when first booted, I will typically run from 09:00 to 17:00 without problem. Then reset and 2hours, then an hour ... until at 22:00 it is 5minutes.
Is the fall in SNR excessive? Is it the 2800G? Is it BT?
System: 2800G [2.7_E38.2.23]; 2.4km from exchange; Atten:37.0 steady; ISP Plusnet.
Typical startup SNR of 12 at 6Mbps downspeed.

Note. I cannot set the router to ADSLmax or ADSL2+, it stays on G.DMT irrespective.

Is this a suggestion or a guarantee?
I have been wary of upgrading because:-
a) I am a novice
b) I do not have a Plan B if it goes wrong - no backup router.
c) there have been suggestions that 2.8.2 does not result in any improvements....
"I tried 2.8.2 firmware but beta notes said the only improv was wlan for macbook? "
http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=14023&highlight=
......
"i tried 2.8.2.1 yesterday with my 2800 on ADSL2+
still got many dropouts per day. "
