Noob Q - Vigor 2600G, Telnet, Win 7, binding IP address was created by svetty
My 'phone (HTC Desire) won't connect via WiFi (but my Xbox and other PC will). The 'phone forums suggest it's a common prob solved by 'reserving' an IP for the 'phone - which I take to mean 'binding' it.
I have Win 7 and a 2600. I assume I need to telnet the router and use the command-line method but don't know to 'telnet'. My OS is Win 7
Any tips on what IP address to use?
Thanks

OK, have fixed an IP address - problem remains!
Phone connects instantly when WPA is disabled so seems problem is WPA TKIP.
Phone connects OK to 2 other routers via WPA. Both these routers have simple word-based 'passwords' rather than a 64 character TKIP key - could this be the problem.
My Xbox connects fine to the Vigor via WPA using the 64character code.
Is there a way to set WPA on the 2600G via a password rather than the ASCII or hexadecimal TKIP key?
