Hi all,
after a recent equipment failure at our tel. pho. exchange we were left with no broadband for 8 days.
when the problem was finally fixed we rebooted out router and checked the 'status' which was all green and connected about about 8meg down speed.
all good right? well no, we couldnt access the internet at all eventhough the router was connected and the ISP said all was looking fine from their end.
to get round this problem ive had to edit the TCP/IP setting on the all the machines and manually enter the ip addresses, default gateway and DNS settings.
so at least now we can browse browse browse!!!
BUT this cant be right can it. we never had to do this before so why now? i'd rather each machine was able to collect the setting automatically.
anyone got any ideas?
